Miracles happen! It seems that they happen when we least expect them. You know, those times when we are not straining ourselves looking for them or trying to make them happen.
There were two events today that knocked me off my feet. The first is extremely personal, so I won’t share the exact details… I will say, that there is an individual who in most normal circumstances, would be a very important part of our family. For the past 10 years, that person has chosen to keep themselves apart from us. Today, that person made contact with us. I am so grateful for the time we spent together today, no matter how brief. As far as I am concerned that event was a miracle!
The second event today was even more random. My husband and I went out to get a late lunch this afternoon. As I got out of the car at the restaurant, I heard a hawk screeching and looked out over the vacant lot in front of me to see one hawk chasing another. The first hawk soared several feet above my head. The second hawk swooped so low above me, that if I had more time, I could have counted every feather in it’s wide wingspan. I felt and heard the swoosh of his wings as he propelled himself after the first hawk. It was breathtaking and awe inspiring! I just had to share it with you.
